Rebuild Resurfacing Treatment

Rebuild Resurfacing Laser Treatment

Rebuild Resurfacing Treatment — treatment
Laser — in clinic

Rebuild is Skinfolio’s intensive laser skin-resurfacing treatment for advanced texture concerns, acne scars, wrinkles and visible sun damage. The treatment creates controlled areas of ablation within the skin, removing damaged tissue while stimulating a natural repair and collagen-remodelling response.

Rebuild is intended for clients seeking more significant correction than a light peel or non-ablative laser can provide. Because it involves an extended recovery period, a detailed consultation and personalized preparation plan are required.

How Rebuild Resurfacing Works

Rebuild uses ablative laser energy to create controlled treatment zones in the skin. Damaged surface tissue is removed while untreated surrounding tissue supports the healing process.

This controlled injury initiates new surface-cell formation and collagen remodelling. As the skin heals, texture, scars, lines and visible sun damage may gradually improve.

Intensive Skin Resurfacing

Rebuild is more intensive than Skinfolio’s lighter resurfacing and collagen treatments. It is intended for established concerns that may not respond sufficiently to facials, superficial peels or non-ablative procedures.

Treatment depth and intensity are customized according to skin tone, tissue condition, concern and tolerance for downtime. More aggressive treatment may produce greater correction, but it also increases recovery time and the risk of complications.

What to Expect During Treatment

Your appointment begins with photography, cleansing and a final assessment. Topical anesthetic is normally applied for approximately 45–60 minutes, and laser-specific protective eyewear is required.

During treatment, the laser is applied systematically across the selected areas. You may experience heat, stinging or sharp sensations despite numbing. A complete appointment takes approximately 150 minutes, including preparation, numbing, treatment and immediate aftercare.

Recovery and Results

The skin will appear red, swollen and intensely sensitive immediately afterward. Depending on the treatment depth, oozing, crusting, darkening and peeling may occur during the first one to two weeks.

Newly healed skin often remains pink or red after the initial recovery period. Texture and tone may begin to improve once the surface has healed, while collagen remodelling continues over approximately three to six months.

FAQ

Everything you need to know.

Rebuild is ideal for those with deep wrinkles, significant sun damage, severe texture concerns, or acne scarring who are willing to commit to extended downtime for transformative results. Best suited for Fitzpatrick skin types I-III; darker skin types require careful evaluation due to pigmentation risks.

Rebuild may not be suitable for those with active skin infections, recent isotretinoin (Accutane) use within 6-12 months, history of keloid scarring, certain autoimmune conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or unrealistic expectations about downtime and recovery. A thorough consultation determines candidacy.

Rebuild is a comprehensive treatment on its own. Allow complete healing (minimum 6-8 weeks) before considering complementary treatments. Your provider will advise on optimal timing for any additional procedures.

Both are ablative laser treatments, but Rebuild is more intensive with longer treatment time (150 minutes vs. Reface) and more significant downtime. Rebuild is designed for the most advanced concerns requiring maximum regeneration, while Reface offers deep resurfacing with somewhat shorter recovery.

Reset is a combination treatment (Laser Lift + Weekend Peel + Repair) with 3-4 days of downtime. Rebuild is a more intensive standalone ablative resurfacing treatment with 10-14 days of downtime, designed for those who want maximum transformation and can commit to the recovery period.

Topical anesthetic reduces discomfort, but clients may still experience heat, stinging or sharp sensations. Significant warmth and sensitivity are expected after treatment.

Plan for approximately 10–14 days of social downtime. Redness, pinkness or sensitivity may remain visible for several additional weeks.

Crusting, darkening or peeling may develop during the first week. Do not pull or remove healing skin.

Many clients require approximately 10–14 days before returning comfortably to in-person work. Timing depends on treatment intensity, healing and occupation.

No. Rebuild may improve selected scars, but complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Deep or tethered scars may need combination treatment.

Collagen remodelling may provide modest firming, but Rebuild cannot remove excess skin or reproduce surgical lifting.

A less intensive option such as Reface or Reset may better suit your schedule and recovery preferences.
