EXION Clear RF delivers fractional radiofrequency energy to the skin’s surface, creating a precise pattern of controlled microablation. These microscopic treatment zones remove small areas of damaged surface tissue while leaving surrounding skin intact to support the healing process.

Clear RF uses an intelligent energy-delivery system designed to provide consistent, uniform microablation customized for the individual skin. Unlike conventional laser resurfacing, the treatment uses radiofrequency energy and does not depend on a specific laser chromophore.

What to Expect During Treatment

Your appointment begins with cleansing and an assessment of the treatment area. Topical numbing may be applied depending on the treatment intensity and your comfort level.

The Clear RF applicator is placed systematically across the skin, delivering controlled pulses of radiofrequency energy. You may feel heat, pressure and a prickling or snapping sensation. Settings are customized according to your concerns, skin condition and desired recovery time.

Results and Treatment Plan

Redness and a tighter feeling may be noticeable immediately after treatment. Over the following days, the skin may feel rough, dry or similar to fine sandpaper as the microscopic treatment zones heal.

Initial improvements in brightness and smoothness may become visible once this healing stage is complete. Texture, fine lines and skin quality may continue to improve over several weeks as collagen remodelling develops. Some clients benefit from a series, while others may choose occasional treatments for more intensive resurfacing.

No. Clear RF focuses on fractional microablation and resurfacing closer to the skin’s surface. RF microneedling inserts fine needles into the dermis to deliver energy at adjustable depths and is generally selected for deeper scars, wrinkles and skin laxity.

Yes. It is a medical-aesthetic resurfacing procedure with a visible healing period, not a cleansing or maintenance facial.

Treatment is usually postponed over inflamed, infected or open acne lesions. Your provider may recommend controlling active breakouts before treating the remaining texture or scars.

Radiofrequency is not dependent on melanin in the same way as many lasers, but every skin tone can still experience post-inflammatory pigmentation after resurfacing. Suitability and settings must be assessed individually.

Allow several weeks before an important event, particularly for your first treatment. Although visible healing may last several days, temporary redness or dryness can persist longer in some clients.
