Reface Laser Treatment — treatment
Laser — in clinic

Reface is Skinfolio’s advanced laser-resurfacing treatment for acne scars, wrinkles, sun damage, enlarged-looking pores and uneven texture. It creates controlled treatment zones in the skin, removing damaged surface tissue while stimulating collagen remodelling.

Reface is more intensive than Reset but less intensive than Rebuild. It is designed for clients who want meaningful skin renewal and can accommodate approximately seven days of social downtime.

What is Reface?

Reface uses ablative laser energy to create controlled treatment zones within the skin. Damaged surface tissue is removed while surrounding untreated tissue supports the recovery process.

This controlled injury activates new surface-cell formation and collagen remodelling. As the skin heals, visible scars, lines, pores and textural irregularities may gradually improve.

Advanced Facial Resurfacing

Reface is designed for concerns that require more correction than a facial, superficial peel or non-ablative laser can provide. Treatment depth and intensity are customized according to your skin, concerns and tolerance for downtime.

More intensive settings may create greater visible correction but can also increase redness, peeling, recovery time and the risk of complications.

What to Expect During Treatment?

Your appointment begins with photography, cleansing and skin preparation. Topical anesthetic is generally applied for approximately 30–45 minutes, and protective eyewear is provided.

During treatment, the laser handpiece passes systematically over the selected areas. You may experience heat, prickling or brief sharp sensations. The complete appointment takes approximately 90 minutes, including numbing and aftercare.

Recovery and Results

The skin will initially appear red and swollen and may feel similar to a significant sunburn. Dryness, roughness, darkening or peeling can develop over the following several days.

Most initial healing occurs within approximately one week, although pinkness may continue for two to four weeks. Improvements in tone and texture appear as the skin heals, while collagen remodelling continues for three to six months.

Treatment FAQ

About Reface Laser Treatment.

Reface is an ablative fractional laser resurfacing treatment that targets the deeper layers of skin to promote comprehensive regeneration. It creates controlled micro-injuries that physically remove damaged skin while stimulating dramatic collagen remodelling for significant skin improvement.

Reset combines Laser Lift, Weekend Peel and Repair with approximately three to four days of expected downtime. Reface is a more intensive ablative treatment with approximately seven days of downtime.

Reface may not be suitable for those with active acne or skin infections, a history of keloid scarring, recent isotretinoin (Accutane) use within the past 6-12 months, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or certain medical conditions. A consultation will determine if Reface is appropriate for you.

Rebuild is Skinfolio’s most intensive resurfacing option and involves approximately 10–14 days of social downtime. Reface provides advanced resurfacing with a shorter treatment and recovery period.

When performed properly with appropriate aftercare, scarring is rare. Following post-treatment instructions carefully and avoiding sun exposure minimizes any risk.

Topical anesthetic helps reduce discomfort. Clients may still experience heat, prickling or brief sharp sensations during treatment.

The skin will appear red and swollen and may feel warm, tight or tender. The intensity depends on the treatment depth and individual response.

Dryness, roughness and peeling commonly develop during the first several days. Do not manually remove peeling skin.

Yes, once the skin has healed sufficiently. Your provider will determine the appropriate timing for facials, injectables and other procedures.

Reset or another less intensive treatment may be more appropriate for your schedule.
