MandeliClear Peel in Vancouver

MandeliClear Peel

MandeliClear Peel — treatment
Facials & Peels — in clinic

The Mandeli Clear Peel is a professional multi-acid chemical peel designed to improve acne, congestion, uneven tone and post-breakout pigmentation. Its formulation combines 9% mandelic acid, 7% lactic acid, 7% salicylic acid and 7% resorcinol to exfoliate the skin at multiple levels.

Because mandelic acid penetrates more gradually than smaller alpha hydroxy acids, this peel may be considered for clients with deeper skin tones or skin prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. However, every client requires an individual assessment and appropriate skin preparation before treatment.

What patients say about MandeliClear Peel.

★★★★★
I really enjoy the chemical peel! It definitely has a tingling, slightly spicy feeling during the treatment, and my skin feels a bit tight afterward, but the results are so worth it. Once the downtime is over, my skin looks so smooth, fresh and glowy. I’m always so happy with the results!

What is the MandeliClear Peel?

The Mandeli Clear Peel uses complementary exfoliating ingredients to loosen damaged surface cells, clear pore congestion and encourage skin renewal. As the treated surface layer sheds, clearer and more even-looking skin gradually emerges.

Mandelic and lactic acids support surface exfoliation, while oil-soluble salicylic acid penetrates into congested pores. Resorcinol strengthens the overall exfoliating action of the formulation.

Why Mandelic Acid?

Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid with a larger molecular structure than glycolic acid. It generally penetrates the skin more slowly, which may create a more controlled exfoliating effect.

This characteristic can make mandelic-based treatments useful for clients concerned about inflammation and post-inflammatory pigmentation. However, no chemical peel is automatically safe for every skin tone, and incorrect preparation or aftercare can still result in irritation or darkening.

What to Expect During Treatment?

Your appointment begins with a skin assessment and thorough cleansing. A preparation solution may be used before the peel is applied in controlled layers.

You may feel warmth, tingling or stinging during application. Your provider monitors your skin throughout the procedure and completes the treatment according to the product protocol. The appointment takes approximately 60 minutes, including preparation and aftercare instructions.

Peeling and Results

The skin may initially feel tight or appear slightly darker. Visible peeling commonly begins after a few days and may continue for approximately 7–14 days, although the amount and duration vary.

Once peeling settles, the skin may appear smoother, brighter and more even. Pigmentation, acne and texture concerns usually require a customized series rather than one treatment. Daily sun protection and appropriate home care are essential for maintaining results.

Treatment FAQ

About MandeliClear Peel.

Most clients experience mild warmth, tingling, or stinging during application. The sensation is generally tolerable. If discomfort becomes significant, the peel can be neutralized immediately.

The mandelic acid molecule is larger than glycolic acid, so it penetrates more slowly and evenly, causing less inflammation. Less inflammation means less risk of triggering post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is the primary concern when treating darker skin tones with chemical peels.

When performed correctly with proper priming and sun protection, the risk is low. However, melasma is a complex condition. Your skinvestment advisor will assess whether this peel is appropriate for your specific situation. Strict sun avoidance post-treatment is essential to prevent rebound darkening.

The Glow Peel is a superficial, no-downtime peel for general brightening and maintenance. The Mandeli Clear Peel is a medium-depth peel with significant downtime, designed to treat more serious pigmentation and skin concerns. The Mandeli Clear formula is specifically designed for safety in darker skin tones.

Yes, the salicylic acid and antibacterial properties of mandelic acid make this peel effective for acne-prone skin. However, severely inflamed cystic acne may need to be addressed before treatment. Your skinvestment advisor will assess your skin.

Priming with topical agents helps prepare the skin for even penetration, enhances the peel's effectiveness, speeds healing, and reduces the risk of PIH. It is especially important for darker skin tones and pigmentation concerns.

Contraindications include active cold sores or herpes simplex, sunburned/irritated skin, use of isotretinoin within 6-12 months, pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin infections/eczema, history of keloid scarring, or recent facial procedures. Consult your provider for specifics.

Consult your healthcare provider before receiving any chemical peel during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The salicylic acid component is generally not recommended during pregnancy.

The formula contains 9% mandelic acid, 7% lactic acid, 7% salicylic acid and 7% resorcinol.

No. Do not pick, pull or exfoliate peeling skin. Allowing it to shed naturally reduces the risk of scarring, infection and pigmentation changes.
